Alchemical Energy
“While alchemical energy is the underlying structure of life itself, this new form arrived in 2007 as a multi-dimensional vibration of connection for our evolving times. It moves beyond other energy systems to help heal the past, enrich the present, and create a vibrant future. We use it to rapidly clear and support people, animals, homes, businesses, and nature.” — Robyn

We use alchemical energy as crystal energy healing because I work with my crystal partner, Fallon, the Citrine Lemurian Quartz and our crystal family. It includes: columbite, carnelian, Preseli bluestones, auralite, amethyst, chrysoprase, celestite, white quartz with tourmaline rods, rainbow obsidian, labradorite, Lemurian jade, kyanite, lingham stone, arfvedsonite, stibnite, and blue chalcedony (with oxenite). Why? Because these are the crystals that have stepped up to work with us.
What Alchemical Energy Is
The underlying structure of the universe looks like the spiral we humans call DNA. I call it alchemical energy—it is, after all, real magic, the stuff of life itself.
From what I can see alchemical energy is the spiral of life, the DNA of existence, if you will. It flows through everything. Some day scientists will understand that this DNA-like spiral is in everything: from tornadoes to hurricanes, the energy of an earthquake, us, our homes and businesses, all life on our planet, and the universe beyond.
I first saw this spiral of energy in spring 2007, as I was trying to understand different energy systems, including Reiki (I am a Level III practitioner).
At the time, I was offering Reiki to my eldest dog, Murphy (then 9). It was spring 2007. She just didn’t like Reiki. Neither did my younger dog, Alki, or Grace the Cat. They had tolerated other energy systems I used, but had not welcomed them.
Leave it to my multi-species family to defy something as powerful as Reiki, but there you go. They just weren’t interested—or comfortable.
Stumped, I sat on the bed with Murphy stretched out and fidgeting. I finally asked the universe if there was a form of energy that would be appropriate for everyone in the family—me, the dogs and cat—and for the house and all the beings who lived or visited with us.
I watched as a colored light immediately spiraled towards me. It was coming from beyond the planet, lighting up what we think of as the darkness of space. I watched the gentle spiral, and recognized its similarity to the spiral scientists draw when they describe DNA. But it was somehow ‘fuller,’ or more complete, with multiple bands and threads and colors running through it.
I watched it spiral through the universe and into the planet. I had asked for this, so I watched it, fascinated. This was my answer. A gentle, weaving flow of life, vibrant, complex, complete. It wound towards us and into Murphy. As it settled into her Murphy sighed in deep contentment and relaxed, stretching out.
Alchemical energy has been with us ever since. My guides say it was here to help me and my family heal, and when I was ready, I would take it out into the world.
Well, except I’m not a healer. Frankly, the word ‘healer’ annoys me: it implies that there’s something wrong, or something can be better, or someone can take charge and fix it. So no buying that.
Nevertheless … the energy worked well. The dogs liked it, the cat liked it, and I liked it, especially because I’m incredibly lazy and it was easy. All I had to do was think about it and ask it to step up to the plate, so to speak, and there it was. No mystical symbols or chanting, no meditation (save me from meditating!), nothing but good humor, respect, and curiosity. I say “On,” and it turns on, and “Off,” and it turns off. I know what that sounds like, but it’s true (and I have witnesses).
What Happened Next
Sure, I practiced this alchemical energy on willing people who were experienced Reiki and energy practitioners. I made sure they couldn’t watch, so I’d get objective answers. Then I’d move my hands a good two feet above them, in whatever pattern just, well, happened.
Every single person could tell me exactly where my hands were as I was moving them. They could feel a wave, a pattern to the energy. I used it in Reiki circles, where loving people are open to the universe. I just let it flow, people responded to it, and I learned more about it.
Again, I’m not a healer. So taking this energy out into the world wasn’t something I was really interested in.
But then Fallon, the Citrine Lemurian Quartz, came along. My crystal partner from ancient times, he came home to live with us in December 2009. Visitors noticed (so, okay, a gorgeous crystal ball sitting there is stunning enough, even before he draws you to him with his rare, ancient vibrational presence and goofy jokes). But then something strange happened: people sat down with Fallon, and he’d work with them as he told me what they were doing together.
He told me he wanted to be a healer. I told him I’d help him do that, which is why we have been out in the world together since summer 2010.
Now, I have been doing intuitive work since 2001, but usually with nonhumans: animals, volcanoes, hurricanes, land and gardens, homes, businesses. Talking with them, helping them and their people adjust to each other.
When I considered working directly with people as a healer, I cringed. A strong empath, I was concerned about getting unbalanced. Plus there’s that whole ‘control others’ or ‘heal others’ issue: ‘healing’ only works if you are ready and willing to do the work, and then it’s not really healing, is it? It’s growth.
But I knew that what Fallon and I could bring to people was worthwhile and needed, and we trusted in the power of love, our guidance, our partnership, and the alchemical energy. We’ve discovered how thrilling and fulfilling it is to work with so many wonderful, inspiring, smart, creative people. I did not become unbalanced. I blossomed. Fallon has blossomed. So did the alchemical energy.
Where We Are Now with Alchemical Energy
I admit, I kept trying to give the alchemical energy away because of the whole “I am not a healer” thing. The energy was effective and easy to use, so it seemed like somebody should be using it. But I just couldn’t give it away: it kept coming back.
One day in Fall 2011 Fallon and I were doing intuitive consultations at East West Bookshop in Seattle when it showed up during a client session. My guides had told us this would happen when it was time to take the energy out in the world, so I just let my lazy self ignore it until then. Our client agreed to it, and loved it. We have been using it ever since: actually, we have using it all along with all the other beings we work with, from homes to businesses and land and weather systems.
We don’t always use it in consultations, although it is present, as it is the stuff of life itself. However, when we directly call on it and clients are willing, it shows up. It’s always effective, and in different ways, because each client’s situation is different.
Unlike some energy practitioners, I do not sneak energy work into a session, or allow it to just flow through and out of me. Frankly, that feels like a misuse of an independent life force, especially one that relies on choice to be effective, and, like every other being I’ve consulted, this energy is opinionated. So it is part of our team, available, like we are, upon request.
I hesitate to call it “energy, “because I don’t really know what “energy” is as people define it, so I often call it vibration, which seems easier to understand, and less emotionally charged. If people are willing to experience it I immediately access it.
Just. Like. That.
I have to say, I love alchemical energy. It lets me be lazy and effective at once, so what’s not to love? It’s also natural. The vibration is there. It exists. I can turn it on and turn it off. I can move it, so people can tell me what it feels like. It works: I’ve seen amazing things happen when it’s used. But only if people are ready—and ask for it.
What Alchemical Energy Really Is—No Kidding
Alchemical energy is real. It works. Because it is the underlying structure of life itself it has been around forever. Literally. With one big caveat: it is different now.
I get tired of hearing that we’re in a new age, that the universe is shifting, whatever. I go by what I know, which is that this form of alchemical energy is multi-dimensional, it comes from the universe itself, it is ancient, and it has changed for our time.
When it first showed up here it frequently knocked me flat, because I was moving between dimensions and times. That is another reason why I’ve kept quiet about it for some years: in its new form it simply wasn’t appropriate for a lot of people who were not yet ready for it. It worked well for nonhumans, and that’s how we learned to work with it. Some people and beings on the planet are still not ready. However, many are, and it’s time for it to go out into the world.
Will I teach it to other people to use? Don’t know.
I do know alchemical energy is safe, comfortable, inspiring. To think of it as spiritual, or mystical, or anything woo-wooey, is to short-change it, yourself, and us. It’s bigger than that—practical, no-nonsense, fast.
Again, it is the stuff of life itself. I’m pretty sure other people access it and use it in some form or another because it would be stupid for it not to work with other people, and this vibration, if you will, is not stupid. Alchemical energy is as ancient as the universe itself, but it is adapting for our planet, and all its beings, at this time.
I trust it for my work.
I trust it for my family: it is the reason why, as my beloved eldest dog, Murphy, was dying of cancer in early 2012, I refused all the well-meaning, loving offers of Reiki and other energetic systems for her and turned to it. I knew it would not magically cure Murphy of either the splenic tumor or the old age that were slowly taking her from us—Murphy herself said her body was slowly breaking down, and nothing would stop it. But I know the alchemical energy was working, and it eased the way—with the help of the queen and king of the dragon kingdom, the goddess Con Ni, and love.
It is fitting and poignant that the little dog whose journey to wellness inspired my own, who was the reason I ended up tapping my intuitive abilities, was also the reason why I have actively claimed partnership with this new form of alchemical energy. Somehow it all makes sense.
Alchemical energy is the vibration of change. Of choice. Of acceptance.
It brings comfort. Ease. Clarity. Inspiration. Grounding. Balance.
It is awesome.
It surprises me that an analytical, skeptical person like me could be out there with a crystal ball who talks with and helps people, animals, buildings, whatever, change whatever it is that is out of alignment with who they are and what they do. That someone who is adamantly not a healer could go out there with a new vibrational system that showed up by request one day in 2007 and fundamentally changes all the healing systems out there.
But there it is. It exists. Never underestimate the power of love (and a sense of humor).
I call it alchemical energy. It’s not healing. It’s choice. Balance and grounding. Clarity. Vibration. Transformation. It’s the stuff of life. Of the universe.
Yes. It’s magic.
Which is great, because I am not a healer. I am an alchemist. So is Fallon. We are transformation specialists. And this new vibration is alchemical.
